Howard Liebman, Ph.D. Superintendent

A visionary in the field of innovative online education, Dr. Howard A. Liebman is a nationally recognized educator and entrepreneur with experience in founding and leading successful public and private education-related enterprises.

 

In addition, during the past year, Dr. Liebman served as a consultant and facilitated the launch of the University of Miami Online Global Academy, a grade 8-12, college-preparatory online high school.

 

In May 2004, he co-founded the University of Miami Online High School as CEO and facilitated the rapid growth of the company. Under his leadership, the University of Miami Online High School, along with Virtual Sage (curriculum publishing company) were acquired by the Washington Post Companies in April 2007.

 

Susan Mcleod, Lead Academic Coach and Language Arts Instructor

National Board Certified, Masters M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. 18 years teaching experience.

 

I am passionate about ACHS because I have the opportunity to work with students from the time they enroll until they graduate. Graduation from ACHS is a life changing accomplishment and I feel privileged to share in this accomplishment.

 

ACHS provides students a "second chance" to finish their high school diploma and obtain a career certificate which ultimately positions them to better care for themselves, their families, and their community. I think this captures the true essence of education.

 

Virginia Quadrini, Science Academic Support Instructor

Ed.D (ABD) Instructional Technology, Ed.S. Instructional Technology, M.Ed Curriculum and Instruction, B.S. Biology, 10 years teaching experience.

 

Mrs. Quadrini joined ACHS because the mission of the school was a perfect fit with her philosophy. "I like the mission of ACHS because not only is distance education its platform, but the 'heart' behind the school. This is a heart that wants to help real-life struggling people achieve their dreams and the goals not only for themselves but for their children and future generations."
